Election not over for 7 close races

In seven contests where candidates are divided by four votes or less, the election is not yet over, Cook County Clerk David Orr said Thursday.
“I always say one vote makes a difference, and these close races prove how true that is,” Orr said.
The close races are:
1 vote – Lincolnwood Village Trustee. Ronald S. Cope has 756 votes to John Swanson’s 755.
Park Forest Village Trustee. Tiffani Graham (619); JeRome Brown (618).
2 votes – Countryside Ward 1 Alderman. Robert Pandelicek (110); Bob Schulenberg (108).
3 votes – Chicago Ridge Village Trustee. Amanda Cardin (649); James S. Saunoris (646).
Hodgkins Village Trustee. Phillip H. Kringlie (183); Thomas E. Christopher (180).
Stickney Village Trustee. Lea Torres (572); David W. De Leshe (569).
4 votes – Stickney Village President. Deborah E. Morelli (62); Daniel O’Reilly (616).
Another dozen contests are separated by five to 25 votes.
Full election results including precinct tallies can be found at cookcountyclerk.com. Election results are unofficial until certification 21 days after the election. Election results will change as provisional votes and late-arriving mail ballots are counted.
