Four Incentives Approved by Cook County Board Designed to Grow Vital Communities
Today, Cook County Commissioners approved four proposals from President Toni Preckwinkle’s Bureau of Economic Development (BED) that will provide tax incentives to businesses in Cook County.
The incentives, designed to promote economic growth, were approved in the following communities: Bedford Park, Blue Island, Markham, South Holland
“Our tax incentive tools are used to either keep or expand businesses in Cook County,” Preckwinkle said. “The companies receiving these incentives, designated for either industrial or commercial use, have demonstrated their commitment to helping us grow vital communities.”
Details on the incentives follow, listed by municipality:
Applicant: R&W Machine, 6551 W. 74th Street, Bedford Park
Property Use: Industrial manufacturing
Description: Applicant provides precision machining and manufacturing of large and complex parts such as gear boxes, bearing housings, railway axles and drive train components. including CNC, machining services, for a wide variety of markets.
Type of Incentive: Class 6b – SER
Applicant: llini Partners VI LP, 12625 S. Western Avenue, Blue Island
Property Use: Commercial retail
Description: Applicant will lease the property to the Dollar Tree a retail store chain.
Type of Incentive: Class 8
Applicant: Arihantanam 2, LLC, 2850 W. 159th Street, Markham
Property Use: Commercial - hotel
Description: The applicant will occupy the property as Rodeway Inn & Suites Flag
Type of Incentive: Class 8
Applicant: Keeana Barber/Power House Holding LLC, 1007 E. 162nd Street, South Holland
Property Use: Commercial marketing and office space
Description: The site will be occupied as WD Marketing a related entity as a full service
marketing group expand our business offerings to include full-service marketing,
branding and photography. Applicant will expand media publication as well.
Type of Incentive: Class 8
