Housing Authority of Cook County
The Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) seeks to promote affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a suitable living environment free from discrimination throughout suburban Cook County. the HACC’s Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) voucher program has assisted the VA Hospital with support services to help veterans transition to permanent housing. VASH combines rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County
The Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County (VACCC) is a nonprofit organization that provides social services and emergency financial assistance to veterans that reside in Cook County. The purpose of the VACCC is to provide emergency assistance to honorably discharged indigent veterans that served in the Armed Forces of the United States and their dependents that meet the qualifying intake process requirements. Financial assistance is available for transportation, mortgage or rent, utilities such as electricity, gas or water, food, burial or cremation.
