Financial Education Series
In collaboration with Working Credit, a national nonprofit organization based in Chicago, Cook County is hosting a financial education video series dedicated to helping the public with building good credit, budgeting, debt management, saving and building wealth.
The video series runs from April 2024 through August 2024 and is available on the Cook County Government YouTube channel.
A full list of financial education resources is also available as part of the series.
"Financial wellness for Cook County residents is one of our top priorities," said Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. "I hope you will tune in and join us as we empower every Cook County resident to take hold of their financial future."

Addressing a need
According to a recent Stress in America study conducted by the American Psychological Association, 72% of Americans feel stressed about money, and 81% reported inflation as a major source of stress.
These numbers point to an urgent need to address the obstacles that keep people from financial stability.
